Creating talent
The Horsmonden community already has some talented cricketers, footballers , Tennis players and sports people within our families.
We have a thriving Youth Section and we are proud to provide competitive league cricket for Under 15, Under 13, Under 11 and Under 9 age groups.
They are inspired by what could be possible in the future and better facilities would encourage more children, especially girls and women to play sport.
Horsmonden was shortlisted for Tennis club of the year!
Zane Cheeseman
Zane is one of 70 coaches in the country to have his level 5 LTA coaching qualification.
He won Kent player of the Year (last won by Emma Radacanu!) and Kent Development coach of the year.
Zane is currently 9th in the world ranking over 40’s singles and 8th in the world over 35’s doubles.
He has also been picked to Captain the Great Britain over 40’s team for 2023.
He is also focusing on developing a comprehensive disabled tennis programme amongst the clubs.
Horsmonden also has its own wheelchair for wheelchair tennis coaching.
Horsmonden Football team
Winners of the Smith's Premier Cup 22/33. Horsmonden are Champions of the Smith's Premier Cup. The final was held at Rusthall Football Club on 28th March against Green Street Green Rovers. We are very proud of this young team that achieved so much.
